Let there be LIGHT!

Light has such a powerful role in Judaism, beginning with “Let there be light!” — God’s first words. It’s also a beautiful symbol that’s found in the light of the Shabbat and Yartzeit candles; in the Chanukah menorah; and the Ner Tamid’s everlasting light. Kabbalists believe the Jewish mission of Tikun Olam – repairing the world – is about reuniting scattered sparks of Divine light that were lost in the imperfect creation of our cosmos.

OrLanu’s workshops help participants identify their Jewish light and honor it. But light is meant to be shared. OrLanu is about nurturing, honoring and sharing our Jewish light. Our dream?  Judaism as “Am Or” – a people of light.
