The world needs Our Light.

OrLanu is a light-based, transformative Jewish ecosystem of values, wisdom, and action using innovative light-making workshops as its tool. Our goal:  Am Or.  Judaism as a “Community of Light” inspiring and transforming the world.

Just as Judaism offers us precious gifts, each of us can gift something back.

As Jews, we use our neshamah (soul)  – our Jewish light – to help guide us in our choices and help us share our light with the world. Through our lamp-making workshops, Orlanu helps Jews become more mindful of their Jewish light and helps them identify how they can share that with the world.

To be clear, we do not believe that Judaism is the sole answer or solution to the world’s problems.

We believe that other spiritual practices have equal merit and we respect and encourage anyone from any faith who puts light into the word.

OrLanu, however, puts light into the world through a Jewish context.

We aim to create a community of “light makers” nourishing the light within, bringing their unique light to Judaism and sharing their light with the world.
