I created my light as a small beacon of peace, inviting people to stop for a quiet moment, and to reflect on the dark and war-torn time that was the Holocaust. Over 6 million Jewish people died in the concentration camps, hoping to be free and to live their lives in peace. We must keep the memory of those 6 million people alive, through memorials, education, telling of individual stories and saying the names of those who were lost. I do not have a specific person to dedicate my light to, but instead it represents all 6 million, as there are many names and lives which have been forgotten by history.
