Speak truth about harm done in the name of God.

I was invited to attend the 6 Million Lights workshop by a friend. I had admired the lamp she made and wanted to know more about the project.

As a leader in the church, I believe we have a responsibility to speak the truth about the harm that the has been done in the name of the Lord.

Listening to the stories of survivors and descendants of those lives taken allows the truth of the pain, suffering to be shared. Hearing these voices promotes healing to continue. Being a part of this project has reminded me that events of our history shape who we are but they do not define who we are. Hearts and lives are changed through the voices and silence and beautiful lights that shine as we always remember the 6 million lives.
